Torres del Paine Self-Drive Chile
This six-day self-drive program is designed for travellers who want to explore Chilean Patagonia at their own pace, with the main logistics arranged in advance. It includes car rental, airport assistance and pre-booked accommodations, so you can focus on the drive and the landscape. The route combines Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales and Torres del Paine National Park. Along the way, you can plan visits to museums in Punta Arenas, the Milodón Cave area, and different viewpoints and outdoor areas inside the park. The itinerary also leaves room for optional activities such as kayaking, penguin viewing, and other visits that are available locally. Patagonia is known for strong winds and changing weather, so the trip works best for travellers who are comfortable with flexible, self-guided travel. The program can be arranged for different start dates, and it can be adjusted to suit practical needs. Requirements Drivers must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid driver’s licence and passport. A major credit card in the renter’s name is also required. An international driving permit is not necessary in Chile. Seasonal note The warmest months are generally between October and April, with the main travel season running from September to March. Summer brings milder temperatures, while winds can be strong. Autumn is often a good time for wildlife and landscape photography.
