It covers Islamabad, Skardu, Shigar, Gilgit, the Hunza Valley and Fairy Meadows, with time for forts, lakes, viewpoints and the Nanga Parbat Base Camp hike. The route is designed for travellers with a basic fitness level. The trek to Nanga Parbat Base Camp is described as manageable, and horses are available on the Fairy Meadows section if needed. The trip also includes time on the Karakoram Highway, visits to Upper Hunza and a day at Khunjerab Pass, with overnight stays in the main towns along the way. Islamabad
Arrival in Islamabad
Arrive at Islamabad International Airport and transfer to the hotel. If time allows, the rest of the day is free to get oriented in the city. - 2
Skardu
Fly to Skardu and visit Shigar
Transfer to the airport and take the morning flight to Skardu. On arrival, continue with your guide to Shigar Fort and Sarfaranga Cold Desert, with time for activities in the desert before returning to the hotel area. - 3
Skardu
Manthuka Waterfall and Kharpocho Fort option
Drive to Manthuka Waterfall and return to Skardu in the afternoon. If time and energy allow, there is an optional sunset walk up to Kharpocho Fort for wide views over Skardu.
