This 12-day trip links China’s better-known cities and landscapes: Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Yangshuo and Hong Kong. It combines guided visits with train travel, time to explore on foot, and free moments in each place. Start in Beijing with Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and Mutianyu Great Wall. Continue by overnight train to Xi’an for the Muslim Quarter, city walls and the Terracotta Warriors, then travel on to Chengdu for Tianfu Square, People’s Park and the panda breeding centre. In Yangshuo, ride through the countryside and take a bamboo raft on the Yulong River before finishing in Hong Kong. This itinerary is sold for group departures and also suits private travel. Accommodation, some meals, guide support and listed transport are included.

Arrive in Beijing and attend the evening group meeting. Your tour leader will collect the documents needed for the trip. Afterward, there is time for an independent walk near the hotel if you wish. - 2
